Brotzeit

A hearty snack consumed between the main meals of the day, sort of like a second breakfast.

Bavarian beer gardens are the center of brotzeit culture. Brotzeit (translated as "bread time") typically includes bread or a soft pretzel and may also have sausages, cheeses, hams, and sometimes sauerkraut and vegetables. Weisswurst is a classic brotzeit dish and is served with sweet mustard.

Weissbier is also typically served as part of brotzeit.
