Lichtenhainer

A sour, smoked, lower-gravity historical German wheat beer.

A Lichtenhainer is similar to a Berliner Weisse in that it is tart and light in alcohol (3.5-4.7%). However, it is also smoky from the inclusion of smoked barley malt.

It was the most popular at the end of the 19th century.
